What payment methods do we accept?
We only accept cash by prior arrangement, or EFT payments, as acceptable methods of payment. Our Terms are payment in full upon placing your order. Once payment clears in the Jan Pierewiet’s bank account, your product will be released / shipped to you. Notwithstanding, should we release or ship any products or goods to you prior to receipt of your payment, all goods remain the property of Jan Pierewiet until paid for in full.
I’ve ordered my bag – what is the shipping policy?
As soon as we’ve received payment we will arrange collection of your package for the following work day. Once your package has been dispatched shipment can take anything from 2-7 work days.
Can I have my Jan Pierewiet bag shipped abroad?
Please pop us an email and we can get you a customized quote on having your order shipped internationally.
I’ve placed an order, but I cannot make an immediate payment will my order be reserved?
We will reserve any order for 48 hours, but unfortunately after that the stock will be made available to the next customer.
Does Jan Pierewiet have a cancellation policy?
Unfortunately once your order has been processed and picked up by the courier the sale can no longer be cancelled.
What is your refund policy?
We quality check each and every one of our products and goods by hand before shipping or delivering it to you, because we want you to be happy with your purchase. However, should any of our products contain any manufacturing defects, you may exchange or refund your purchase, subject to the terms below.
For defective goods, our policy is as follows:
1 | Within 7 days of delivery, you must notify us in writing that your product contains a manufacturing defect, the notice must contain your name, contact number and product purchased.
2 | We may require that you send a picture of the defective product.
3 | The defective product will be collected at our expense, still in the original packaging.
4 | Once the product has been returned, it will be checked. If the defective product contains a manufacturing defect, you have the option of a refund or exchange.
Defective goods / manufacturing defects does not include wear and tear, damage due to incorrect/ frequent use, damage caused after shipping our products to you.
The following is not regarded as defective: All our products are handmade. By its nature, each product will be different. You accordingly accept that the picture on the website (www.janpierewiet.co.za) will not necessarily be a picture of the product you receive insofar as the leather will have different textures, differ slightly in colour, different colour linings and different markings.
There’s nothing wrong with my bag, can I still request a refund?
If you wish to return or exchange non-defective goods, our policy is as follows:
1 | We can only return or exchange products if it is in the same condition as when you received it, with packaging undamaged and intact. You can not exchange a used product.
2 | Refunds generally must be requested within 7 days of receiving your product. Please notify us in writing and the necessary arrangements can be made.
3 | Arrangements for the product to be collected from you through our courier will be made and you will be responsible for the courier fee.
6 | When your Jan Pierewiet arrives at our office we will check the bag and ensure that it is in the same condition as when it was shipped. If we are satisfied with the product, we will inform you in writing after which you may exchange it for a different product or request a refund of the difference between your shipping and purchase price.
*Notwithstanding the above, we reserve our rights to refuse any exchanges or returns of non-defective goods.
